Soccer Camp:
Summer Soccer Camp at Our Lady of Guadalupe
Objective: To enhance kids' knowledge of soccer and increase their performance levels through weeklong sessions with state licensed coaches. Allow kids to actually enjoy and increase their love for soccer in a fun but competitive atmosphere while hanging out with peers and friends.
Length of Camp: Each camp will last approximately 4 hours, every day, for 1 week.
Set Up: Morning sessions may run 3-4 hours. There will be mandatory warm up, skills and technique session, finishing, tournament style small sized games and full field scrimmages. All parts of each daily session will be different from the prior, and will push each child to attainable limits without having them overexert themselves and having to suffer with the harsh Houston summers. If possible, there will be indoor sessions to work on quick decision making and to enjoy soccer indoors.
Age and Gender: Ages will go from 4 to 14. Children 10 and under will be separated into “La Cantera” and the children 11 and over will go into “La Mestalla.” Goalkeepers will for the most part be together until scrimmages and shooting drills are started, then they will be separated into age groups.
Equipment necessary: I will provide the necessary coaching equipment and the kids must always arrive with soccer cleats, running shoes, shin guards, PLENTY OF WATER (I will also have two 5 gallon jugs filled with water and ice),shorts and shirts (as well as gloves for GK‘s).
Staff: 2-4 Coaches so that the coach to player ratio will be kept at low.
Cost: a flat cost of $75 per week. For two kids it will be $125 and for three it will be $175.
